Top-Pastor Paul's Prison Ministry
Pictured above at Stillwater State Prison from left is; the Prison Chaplain Knowles, Prisoner Program Coordinator Dale, Pastor Paul, and Pastor Jackson. Pastor Paul ministered at the prison after someone called and wanted him to visit an inmate. He was given permission to meet and talk to inmates in a standing room.
'In 1979 I was invited to minister at Stillwater State Prison in Minnesota. I went back several times. The inmates really received the Word. Later I decided to start sending my cassette tapes to the prison library where inmates could check them out and listen to them when they wanted to. That seemed to work well. Since I ministered twice weekly at that time at least two messages were sent each week. I continued this for a couple of years.'
In the late 1970s and early 1980s about 100 tapes were delivered to the library. Later, Pastor Paul delegated the ministry to Pastor Jackson who was a member of the Wisconsin ministry. He promoted the 'Up-Look Broadcast' that aired on KUXL-AM 1570-Monday-Friday from 1:30-2:00 pm weekly. Many inmates and staff listened to the tapes and radio broadcast.
'Today, I hope that prison inmates will listen to the messages recorded and available here at 1980s and 1990s and are blessed with the peace that passes all understanding.'
